Fuchs is constantly developing new products and services that are truly "leading edge". Fuchs Lubricants Co. is looking for a Supply Chain Planner based out of Harvey, IL.

The Supply Chain Planner supports achievement of the company’s customer excellence and financial objectives via his/her responsibility for demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory planning/management. The planner coordinates the monthly collaborative forecasting process, incorporating both SKU level statistical forecasting and available marketing intelligence. The planner establishes distribution center specific inventory replenishment policies and utilizes ERP in managing inventory levels so that customer service, cash and cost objectives are met or exceeded. Incumbent will work very closely with marketing, manufacturing, logistics, customer service, and raw material procurement in effectively and efficiently aligning supply and demand, driving customer excellence, and driving achievement of the company’s cost/cash objectives. This position will also play a pivotal role in developing and supporting a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Other responsibilities include supporting the development of the annual business, or operating plan, miscellaneous projects, and other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop rolling demand forecast based on statistical analysis tools

• Coordinate preparation of production plan based on collaborative interdepartmental inputs

• Define proper inventory levels for all distribution centers

• Continuously refine stocking levels to meet changing business requirements

• Coordinate stock transfers between plants and distribution centers to meet customer service objectives and optimize inventory levels

• Establish and then coordinate S&OP process

• Prepare inventory status reports

• Establishes and maintains safety stock/fixed order qty inventory stocking levels of saleable goods and raw materials

• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications:

• BA / BS degree in business discipline

• BA / BS degree in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management preferred

• 2-5 years experience in Supply Chain Planning

• Experience in Materials Management and/or Logistics preferred

• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment

• 1+ years SAP/R3 experience

• Experience with SAP Flexible Planning preferred

• Experience with a S&OP process is preferred

• Good organizational and communication skills

• Solid knowledge of demand planning and supply chain forecasting utilizing statistical software tools

• APICS certification or pursuit of certification preferred

• Literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential
